Working with Schools – Added Value Project 

Mossbank has successfully gained the agreement from all of its contractors to support educational activities in local schools. With the help of ‘Education Business Solutions’ our contractors have given up their time (and continue to do so) to support a range of activities which are designed to:

  • Improve the employability skills of young people
  • Raise their levels of achievement
  • Increase their awareness of the world of work
  • Raise their aspirations and improve their confidence

Some of these activities include work experience, enterprise events, mentoring, practice interviewing and site visits.

In addition to this, our main contractor offers interactive Health and Safety talks with local Primary Schools.   This is to increase awareness and help youngsters identify any possible dangers associated with the work that is being carried out in their local area.

This project will add value to the educational aspirations of young people on the estates.
